TRAUMA
You know it’s in the past. It doesn’t always feel that way.
You might find yourself on edge, shutting down during conflict, questioning whether you can trust others, or feeling responsible for keeping everyone happy. Sometimes these reactions connect to a specific experience; other times, they grew out of repeated experiences of feeling unsafe, unsupported, or unseen. You don’t have to minimize what happened or compare it to someone else’s story to deserve support. Together, we can understand these responses with compassion and make more room for how you want to live now.
Space for your story. Support for moving forward.
Trauma therapy begins with getting to know you and building a sense of safety in our work together. I draw on Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help reprocess distressing experiences, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to explore the parts of you that learned to protect you. At the heart of my work is self-compassion and easing shame—you deserve a space where your experiences are met with care and understanding.
of you that work hard to protect you.
